Sunbear Studio is the working studio of pastel artist, Meredith Martin. Meredith’s work is currently figurative pastels, and she is most often engaged in commissioned portraiture of people, places and animals. Her vivid, richly colored portraits are known for being energetic and sensitive to the spirit or unique character of subject matter. The studio also has many examples of Meredith’s wildlife and landscape paintings inspired by her trips to the west and to national wildlife refuges throughout the country. But that’s not all! The studio is also an intriguing gallery for the work of over 20 local (Ohio) artists, who Meredith believes deserve many more venues for their fantastic talent. From wearables to woodcuts, jewelry to gemstones, Sunbear Studio offers a fun destination for anyone seeking completely unique and artist-made gifts and creations. It’s nothing like anything at the mall!
The Studio is also a great place for custom framing – of Meredith’s work, or anyone else’s!! Bring your project and have an artist help you make all those choices!
