For me taking a photograph is about recognizing and remembering a beautiful moment. I also feel that each photo is a gift of grace. Before I found a love for capturing moments with a lens I taught kindergarten in North Carolina. After three years of teaching I decided my free spirit needed to wander more than my classroom job could provide. I did some traveling and then came back home to my beloved roots. I marvel at how the unexpected moments of my life have brought such happiness and peace. My life back home is right where I want to be... my everyday includes enjoying the field view out my window, waitressing, substitute teaching, drinking coffee with cream, baking, connecting with others, watching the Big Dipper glisten at night and capturing the world around me.
