Meredith’s latest work and what’s in progress at the studio now.
"Curve Ahead"
This painting came from a photo I shot from inside the car. I was going for the sky colors, but the car turned out to be the best part of the painting. References are just that - references. You never know where you are really going with a painting until the colors start to flow, just like this little car on its journey.
"Creek at Hogback"
Since I live a crazy life, like lots of people, one of my best times to paint seems to be for a class. This one is a demo for a class in 'Water and Pastel'.
"Grazing Trio in Green"
Cows continue to be a favorite inspiration for paintings. After all, they seem to be everywhere in my rural environment. They're blocky, can be abstract, and always have character. This is a little study for a bigger painting, yet to be done.
